Yuno’s group was taken aback when the elf appeared before them.

With Yuno and Yuria’s permission, Miruku put her robe back on, pulled the hood low, and got into the supply wagon at the back, heading to Kiese Castle with Yuno’s group. 

When Yuno returned to the manor, Isabella and Marie ran to greet them at the gate. 

“Yuno~ You’re back earlier than I thought. Did you come back so soon because you missed your sister?” 

“Brother~ Did you miss Marie while you were gone?”

“As you know, we elves are born from the fruit of the World Tree. Only females exist, so that’s how we reproduce. The Bekes clan has devoted itself to protecting the World Tree, earning respect from all elves, and our matriarch is treated as a queen.” 

“Yes, we know that.” 

“But nine years ago, a cursed monster invaded our territory and nested in the World Tree. The tree began to be corrupted and stopped bearing fruit. Of course, we fought desperately to defeat the monster, but it killed many of our clan and still occupies the tree.” 

“Huh~ How could the Bekes clan, who held the center of the Monster Mountains, lose the World Tree to a mere beast? Aren’t all your clan skilled spirit users and archers, and isn’t your matriarch a Master-level archer?” 

“The monster’s strength wasn’t the problem. It absorbs the World Tree’s energy and converts all yang energy around it into yin energy. Since our entire clan is female, we can’t fight it.”

“Then… there’s nothing that can be done?” 

“When a man goes in, the monster’s power focuses on him. Using that opening, we managed to take out some ogres.” 

“Then wouldn’t it be best for the imperial army to attack together?” 

“We tried sending in all the men who trespassed at once, but the monster’s power affected all the men in the area, not just one.” 

“I see. So sending in the army would only increase casualties.” 

“Still, we managed to eliminate about half of the monster’s guards, but the losses were severe. Most importantly, my mother says the World Tree will die within a year if this continues.” 

At the thought of the World Tree dying, Yuno’s whole family swallowed hard. It would mean the extinction of the elves a serious matter. 

“So we came up with a last resort. Since yang energy in men is their sexual energy, we want to bring the man with the strongest sexual energy to withstand the monster’s power while we charge in and wipe out the other monsters and kill the beast.”
