Today's Pyramid release (go here: http://www.warehouse23.com/products/pyramid-number-3-slash-76-dungeon-fantasy-iv) includes one of my articles that's been a bit long-simmering (over a year). It's no big secret that I like ritual path magic (and it's my system of choice), but I like the basic magic system just fine too. Despite its warts (or maybe because of them), it's the perfect system to use in some settings. This has never been truer than it is with Dungeon Fantasy. The basic magic system works like most people expect it too for a fantasy game, and I think that's where it shines. However, I like to hack systems. Reuse, repurpose, or modify is the mantra of some GURPS GMs, and I'm one of them. Today's blog post is my designer's notes for my article Hidden Knowledge and might provide some insight into my thoughts on writing it... http://www.ravensnpennies.com/2015/02/designers-notes-hidden-knowledge.html#.VOZCCvnF_Cs
