Finally reaching her bus stop, Gina contemplates the existence of magical creatures, reconciled with the fact that she coexists with superheroes. Perhaps her encounter wasn't so strange, but it doesn't make it less annoying. Also, it seems that Ms. Windsor is a colleague of Jasmine over at Awesome University, who recently had her own brush with superhero dealings. Although none of that has happened yet, canonically. This story occurred before the events of Laser Lady and Laser Lass. I'm undecided on where Rug Shark fits into the timeline, though.

An artist's note: I drew this before I did page 1. I was originally going to just have it as a one-off, but I liked it so much that I decided to expand it into the mini story you're reading now. This would have been the first time I'd drawn Gina Windsor since I finished The Interview in 200....8? I forget, it was so long ago. Anyway, this is the first time I really felt like I had gotten a handle on drawing her hair, which is a big achievement for me. I'm always designing things that look good in the initial panel where they appear, but then start to fall apart when I try to draw them over and over again. The hair was part of the reason why I'd avoided drawing Gina for so long, so this is kind of a big deal. 😉
