Unstable branch:
- Retro Library update ( SteamOS / Linux only... for now )
New theme customisation options, horizontal navigation and Logo grid game lists.
New artwork parser powered by screenscrapper.fr
Box artwork dimension based on original cartridges for each system.
Faster loading times, less than 10 seconds for a test library of 100.000 games
New lossless compression for covers, logos and screenshots.
New game detail page with information about state saves, playtime, cloud saves state, retroachievements. (WIP)
Known bug: Sometimes it will hang at startup, if that happens just restart your Steam Deck.
Update it by opening EmuDeck and reinstalling it
Stable branch:
- EmuDeck Cloud
EmuDeck's own cloud, works as Steam Cloud. "it just works"
7 Day backups for all saved games, just in case "it just don't work" sometime
Free for all EA users
- Rest of cloud providers reorganised. They are still available as they won't go away but the support won't be the same since some of them don't work not because of CloudSync but because of the own provider limitations.
- New login using licenses alongside the Patreon token.

Would you consider launching the cloud sync app separately? I'd love to use it for my in place emulators on my pc, so I don't have to re-setup all of them with emudeck.

2024-12-21 03:37:35 +0000 UTCsame here, i actually left the patreon for a few months because how broken emudeck had become on my main machine. it took a fresh install of windows just to then reinstall emudeck and have it work. i have most of my back ups but Cemu, Ryujinx/YUZU, Xenia cloud back ups are gone. currently trying microsoft cloud backup working. good luck

I'd test if that's no longer the case and remove If its no longer needed, or try to set it as a small hidden window in some corner of the screen

All it does is cause problems for me when alt-tabbing, minimizing, resizing windows, switching between desktops via the "new desktop" feature, etc. Please, @EmuDeck give us a toggle in the settings somewhere so we never have to see this again. Been the bane of my existence for months.

2024-12-08 17:15:52 +0000 UTCyes. i would like the ability to turn them off since i use emudeck on a desktop, and the popup is just annoying and unnecessary. i understand it's for the deck, and i use it on my deck, but the option needs to exist to turn it off for users also using it on desktop.

2024-12-08 15:36:00 +0000 UTCI waited specifically for this update before I tried installing the unstable beta branch (aka clean install) and the installer is failing. It ACTS like everything worked (the install screen with sonic only shows for about 5 seconds) but I have none of the folders and I can't setup cloudsync. I'm getting a whole lot of "variable not found in settings. adding filepathhere" in the console. After I close and reopen emudeck the installer starts over. I'm using Manjaro.

I'd like to take advantage of the CloudSave feature but I cannot download EA on my computer because I only have the one license. Is that by design? Is there a way around it?

2024-12-08 11:33:04 +0000 UTCI also ask because it won't let me log back into my emudeck and says it doesn't recognize my token and there's no space to put it manually. I don't have access to cloud sync or the app itself, which compounded my confusion on what was intended versus what wasn't.
