EmuDeck 2.3.1 Unstable - EmuDeck Cloud
Added 2024-09-30 11:40:04 +0000 UTCHi! Seeing all the issues we have with some cloud providers for cloud saves I've decided to create my own.
This opens a lot of possibilities like having daily backups of your games in case you want to bring back some old save, a saves manager to delete and view saved games, etc.
Right now it "only" syncs saves between devices like any order provider, but the sky is the limit!

2024-10-07 07:26:01 +0000 UTCi cant get emudeck to work. It says log in to patreon but it ask for a token which I have no idea how to work. Before today it logged on automatically. token.emudeck.com says pave can't be found. Any idea how to fix this? Me and others asked about this on Discord but no reply.

2024-09-30 20:52:27 +0000 UTCWith the other Cloud providers (when they work) I'm able to sync between any other devices that can connect to SMB, OneDrive etc. I suppose this isn't going to be an option with EmuDeck Cloud?

2024-09-30 20:18:51 +0000 UTCI can only imagine the difficulty of trying to make them all work. Maybe just support the big 3-4 like Gdrive, Dropbox, NC,etc? But hosting thousands of peoples game saves is going to start to add up quickly and management of a secure cloud is arguably the same, if not more work. Just my 2 cents though. Thank you for all that you do

2024-09-30 16:21:34 +0000 UTCI second this comment. Personally, I'd much rather use Google Drive, similar, or a self-hosting provider as my security blanket here. Or maybe allow both? (I.e., something like: personal provider for secondary backups, "EmuDrive" for main management, etc.) Edit: ShareX management for these could be worth looking at? π€

If you are not a Patron you can't even connect, and even if you are a patron your password is encrypted and is only decrypted in our servers, and even if you somehow figure out the password you can't access anything but your own saves

As an aside, please do make sure your settings as a self-hosted cloud provider admin err on the overly restricted/no-trust side; best to avoid as many vectors for compromise as possible. Especially as the overall project is looking into building various revenue streams.
