This is the EmuDeck Machine

First of all please don't leak this, I want you patrons to be the first to be able to get one unit.
This is a render of what the case will look like, not 100% decided in the colors, maybe more white than grey would be better.
The idea behind the EmuDeck Machine is to make hardware easy just as EmuDeck did with software. I've priced it as low as possible so it's also affordable but Indiegogo takes a big cut ( they are going to make more money than I will ) and then there's the dollar - euro conversion.... maybe if I sold a lot I can get better prices, we'll see.
Anyway, this has been possible thanks to you and all your support these past months, I couldn't have done it without you so thanks a lot!!! Because of that I'm giving priority to all of you to get your EmuDeck Machine before anyone else and an early bird price too.

PS: To all of you wondering, this doesn't mean things will change on the software side of EmuDeck, if anything it will bring more features. CloudSync, Rom Library and the EmuDecky plugin exist because I envisioned the EmuDeck Machine with those features so many months ago and those have ended up being in the regular EmuDeck for everyone of you :)

As relieved as I am, I do sympathize with your efforts. There was clearly a lot of passion behind the development of hardware, and I do admire that. Making this decision in spite of that passion however is commendable all on its own. Thank you for all of your work. Even as someone brand new to using EmuDeck, your efforts have not gone unnoticed

Bringing in an actual product that can be sold and shipped can start drawing attention of other companies, and Nintendo especially can't be won against. This is a cool product, but I think it's reasonable to be concerned about how this might impact the service from a takedown perspective

Like it's a cool idea making a steam machine that's focused on emudeck, but the whole appeal of emudeck to me is unifying your emulation and steam experience, I feel like most people would rather do that on their own hardware with a more general gaming aim. Either way I hope it sells and love everything yall do, bit of a left field move but i wish for it's success!

Nothing is gonna stop you from buying your own windows license and installing it. Doesn't seem like they are getting special pricing based on the specs and stuff so if they added a license they could add like 50-100 bucks and then it would need to be for the appropriate country and stuff.

I don't know really anything about the OS you're putting on, but my experience with getting old PC games and more importantly mods working with SteamOS on Steam Deck was miserable, taking hours to get things working, only for some Proton updates to break things again. I ended up just installing Windows on my Steam Deck to get away from the headaches. Without delving into non-constructive Linux vs Windows debates, is there any way to install Windows 10 on this like you can with Steam Deck? Or is the OS here going to have better modding compatibility? I know compatibility is hard to answer since there are so many different things, but it's a big factor in spending ~$600 for me. Thanks regardless, this seems really cool and it's awesome to see, just might not be for me unfortunately

There's a HDMI port. USB 5gbps 3.2 gen 1 Bluetooth audio This is fully user upgradeable, RAM, CPU, NVME, everything. Love reducing the complexity around pc gaming and emulation. I almost immediately backed it(before I saw the no controller option but I do not care enough to cancel and reorder) Couple bits of feedback/ questions. You do not show or talk about screen connectivity for the non DIY(Was that there in the beginning?). I am assuming there will be an hdmi port right? Usb C talks about a connector not the tech underneath. What kind of usb protocol is this gonna be? Standard 5gbps usb 3.2 gen 1 or 10gbps gen2? Or one of the fancier ones? Any audio ports? Is there bluetooth? Now that I see the DIY version. Does that mean this will be fully user upgradeable with a standard ITX board and a socketed APU? Socketed RAM and NVME Storage? If it is off the shelf parts what motherboard doesnt have the standard array of connectivity in the back? Could you provide some information about the overclock? Thermals? Dimensions? Brands of parts being used? The addition of the DIY option made me realize this is just a prebuilt pc with off the shelf parts. Supporting someone who, in my opinion, is doing something good for the community adds value here even though I can probably just build this myself for maybe cheaper I do not know without knowing the specifics of parts. Low added value for the technically inclined in terms of product but this does not appear to be unfair by any meaning and I can not wait to play around with it when it ships.

Is it just a render at this point? There's no prototype at all? I'm a huge fan but I've worked in hardware before and this is not far enough along without knowing there's a team who has shipped hardware before.

Us uber geeks buying this stuff are early adopters and I moved 99% to usb c a long time ago and dislike older usb with a passion. too many other new devices recently - Aya Neo AM02, Pocket S, Miyoo A30, RG40XXv etc so will keep an eye on this for future.
