EmuDeck Status Report

Hi everyone! I've been really sick the whole week so I haven't being able to do much, I just want to let you know about our progress on the next release.

This release is going to be different because the cloudSync has been so big that we need to do changes on the UI so we just used this opportunity to update several pending UI components.

Ok, so this is what we are working on right now:

SteamOS
- We have cloudSync finished and working with native notifications so you know what cloudSync is doing in the background when you are in gaming mode, need to the same for desktop mode

- We've created EmuDecky, a new Decky Plugin ( see picture above ) that will allow you to change EmuDeck's configuration while in gaming mode and get notifications from cloudSync

- You no longer need to setup a sudo password to install any of our bundled plugin like EmuDecky or PowerTools.

- Installation of Yuzu EA is being worked on.

• - Same with the new SteamRomManager parser theme and the new way of adding parsers so you can add your custom own parsers and we don't show duplicates for some systems.
  
  Windows
  - We have cloudSync almost finished, we need to work on notifications and first configurations of cloudSync.
  
  - Multiple account support, so you can share the roms and bios in your PC with other people but then each Window User will have its own set of emulators, saved games and  cloudSync.
  
  - Porting of the SRM duplicates and custom parsers will need to be ported over from SteamOS when completed.
  
  Linux
  Same updates as SteamOS, we are thinking about custom stuff for linux users so if you have some proposition please let me know in the comments. We do have in our plans to add some fixes for ChimeraOS but it probably won't be ready for this release, it's something we will just release as a quick fix so there's no need to do a new full release.
  
  SteamOS and Windows
  
  - We've updated several parts on the UI so they convey more information when you open the app, when you install a new emulator, etc. there's also some tweaks here and there where we are deprecating the use of system level notifications and replacing them with notifications on the App itself.
  
  
  TLDR; So what's missing to get a new update?
  
  - CloudSync notifications for Linux Desktop mode. -> Done
  - Yuzu EA for both Windows and Linux users. -> Done
  - CloudSync background service Windows users. -> Medium difficulty -> Done
  - CloudSync notifications for Windows users. -> Medium difficulty -> Working on it
  - New SRM parsers. -> Done.
  - New SRM theme. -> Medium difficulty. -> Postponed some weeks
  - Test, test, test, test, and test everything -> Waiting
  
  I hope I can tackle the first two tasks remaining this weekend and the rest along the next week so if everything goes according to plan you can have a new release the next weekend :)
