HDD sent to data recovery company
Added 2023-06-06 10:23:11 +0000 UTCHey guys! I sent my HDD to a data recovery company. They are saying the hardware is physically damaged. There is an issue with the port, and there might be other issues too. The good news coming from this is that my insurance will cover costs for physically damaged equipment.
If they're able to recover the data, I'll get it back within a couple of days. If not, they'll send it to a bigger company that has more equipment, but this will take weeks rather than days.
It hurts a bit. I'm not feeling very motivated to remake my lost files, so I'll wait until I hear the news in the coming days before I decide to start rebuilding the Shego project.
In the meantime, I have a couple of ideas for short-form content that I can make with my existing models. Let's hope for the best, and try to see this as a chance to work on things I probably wouldn't prioritize otherwise. I could also start on the Chel model.
I will also look into more hardware upgrades for my computer. I have realized I need to take computer maintenance more seriously now.
