Second channel: Preserving the ROMs on the best RAM tester ever made

Hello my patrons! Ah it's Monday and I'm trying to get through my insanely long to-do list. It's funny how it's nearly lunchtime and I've haven't done anything when it comes to making videos. If only I had multiple copies of me, so I could focus on making videos and editing -- and less on other stuff. Anyway, here's the next video in the queue for release on the second channel. It came out of an email from a viewer who also has one of these RAMCheck devices and was hoping I could dump the ROMs on this one so we could upgrade his. It seems nothing is really preserved for these devices, so I decided to document a little about how this thing is designed, dump the ROM code and try to dump the GAL that is part of the firmware.

I end up spending a chunk of my time making sure to preserve data (ROMs, manuals, etc.) that I find like this. It's something I'm trying to do with the Zenith ZT-1 as well. Who knows if anyone will ever need this information again, but at least it's hopefully saved for that one person who does need it. :-)

Thanks for all the support and I think it's time for me to get back downstairs and working on the next videos!

Thanks for all your support!

What a great piece of history. I remember back in the 90s early 00's going to the local computer shows when they'd come to town, all the tables who sold ram, and boy those days it was dog eat dog out there, every one of the stands had a ram tester like this. The memories Adrian, they just flood back when I watch your channel. Thank you.
