Second channel: I brought home many treasure from VCFSW 2025!
Added 2025-07-05 19:28:12 +0000 UTCHello my patrons! It's a long weekend here in the United States so if you are bored and stuck hanging out with family, perhaps this video will be a bit of a diversion. :-)
It's a "wrap-up" from VCF Southwest in Dallas, where I was able to bring home a bunch of fun, interesting and rare goodies from the event. I didn't know if I should have made a thumbnail with a photo of the stuff or the auditorium at the event. (You might see either.)
Anyway, it's a long video that took me days to shoot, but it was fun playing around with this stuff and there are things from these videos that will result in a bunch more videos in the future.
(If you had $1 for every time I've said that, you would be rich! Or dunk, if it was a drinking game.)

typically a head that’s damaged will either not spin or make lots of unhappy nosies. this drive made noise but when. you had it open that moving back and forth seemed like the electronics were trying to read not the head itself getting stuck

2025-07-08 01:38:19 +0000 UTCthere is always drivesavers but depending on the fault it can be $1000s to get fixed. i’m going to guess if you ever found the exact drive model of that seagate and switched the board over it would work.
