2020-10-24 10:32:54 +0000 UTCMany of the characters you see Gil walking past at the start are people he has lost along the way. The Enkidu we see in the ED is also the real Enkidu. We can tell from the colour of his eyes. It’s almost as if he’s looking down on Gil and watching him. That’s how I see it, at least Also, I interpret the lyrics of the song to be that Gil is the prover. He is going to prove to the gods that humanity can survive without them.

However he takes on the loneliness and pain by himself and just like in his mythology dosent EVER show weakness as king to anyone but Siduri and focuses on Uruk

2020-10-23 21:03:41 +0000 UTCIn the ED when Gilgamesh was walking there were four servants that appeared there that didn't make it into the anime. Those four were also summoned by Gilgamesh but left before the the events of the anime. Ibaraki Doiji was an oni who deserted them, Fuuma Kotarou and another servant I won't name due to spoilers were killed by Jaguarman, and Tomoe Gozen who was also an oni sacrificed herself to take out one of Tiamat's generals. It was stated in the game that one of the reasons that they were able to defend themselves for so long was due to Tomoe's sacrifice.
