Main channel: "Easy" Commodore 1551 repair was anything but...
Added 2025-06-04 20:15:36 +0000 UTCHello my patrons! Next up on the main channel we have a repair of the somewhat rare Commodore 1551 disk drive for the TED/C16/Plus4 based Commodores. This drive was recently shown on a second channel video where it came in a totally smashed case and non working state, so it's time to see if I can figure out what's wrong and get this drive working.

Adrian, I got a Hitachi HD61K215P for a couple of bucks on ebay. It differs by one letter (K instead of J), but it might worth a try. I'll hand it over to you at VCF Southwest.
