Sister’s birthday gift:D

Here it is! On the left is what arrived in the mail - super basic, but it was just the base that I needed to work with, and on the right it’s the finished piece, fitting just right our birthday girl.

I was aiming for a soft, elegant Y2K aesthetic vibe - my sister is more of an extremalist so I had to put myself in her shoes and imagine what she would really like. Now, I’m not a professional, and I don’t even sew that much, but I just wanted to show y’all what I did since I talked about it in my last post haha. I just love doing handmade stuff, they’re so cool.

For the details there’s pearls, gold charms, pearl chains, bows, sew in lace, bows, hello kitty charms…

Anyways I’m glad she liked it - I also organized a whole mini game for her to search for paper clues around the whole house that would lead her to each gift one by one - with me being goofy I put some gifts in the oven, some in the freezer lol. And then she had to find a secret password that was in a note app on her pc and she had to tell me the password to receive her final gift (which was this one).

If any of you spoke with me before then you should know I’m quite like her secondary mom. I always made sure she feels included in activities and feels welcome and safe to share anything that happens in her life. My mom doesn’t celebrate any birthdays much and she’s more work-driven, but I pumped her up for this one so everyone was involved, I can’t remember when was the last time I had to breathe my lungs out to set some balloons, honestly, so hopefully it’s a day she can remember 😅
