About This Patreon Page and Future Plans

Due to my personal life condition, I am unsure I can keep posting as much on my Patreon as usual. From September of this year, I have to focus on my personal life and return to the office working job, because life... life is hard.
These three years I did my best to provide all of you the best I could give, and posted at least one art per week. But with everything happening, I am not sure I can keep the same pace. And because of that, I feel like charging the same amount of money for a lesser number of works is unfair to all of you.
I thought about making fee 3USD instead of 5USD, but in this case, all of my previous work that you so kindly supported will also be visible to newcomers and I am not sure how fair it is to all of you. So, before making drastic changes, I would like to ask your opinion about it.
I also want to say from the very bottom of my heart how grateful I am for your support, kind words and all your likes and comments. It was a real blessing and probably the most fulfilling 3 years of my life. But life happens and sometimes we need to do what we need to do.
I am still planning to draw in my free time, I promised myself that I would finish the Breaking Point comic, and even if I don't do as much Spideypool as I did before, I would still draw other things, because drawing makes me happy. I love Spideypool and always will, but I've been also burning out a lot lately and changing the theme helps with it.
I understand if most of you leave because life is hard for everyone and if the artist doesn't provide what you want, it is only fair to save up your hard-earned money on something you like. TBH, I didn't even think that so many of you would be so kind to support this page and I am so so so grateful for all of you. And I am very sorry if I couldn't give you more.

I’m not one to care for “fairness” either when it comes to sharing art, (especially artwork that isn’t mine lol). The only peace of mind I want is that you’re taken care of! I also would not be upset about others paying $3 now if you felt that you needed to reduce the amount based on less frequent posting. I think you should do the thing(s) that allow you to focus on what you need to and not feel guilt or pressure to create art and post it for us. But also it looks like many of the people here feel the same as I do- I will gladly continue to pay the same and also am completely ok with any shift/reduction in what you share going forward. I came for your incredible talent, and the Spideypool, and you’ve given so much more than I ever expected- I’ll stay for your talent and for wanting to continue to show you my support :)

Another artist I follow is always like “I didn’t post 47 pieces of art today so I’m donating all your fees to charity” like go buy yourself a cup of coffee and relax. If I wanted a pay per piece ratio I would be on a different site than Patreon. Anyway $5 is fine. You’re amazing.

Maybe you could post WIPs per week and one finished piece at the end of the month? I follow other artists that do that for the same price point. Your art is amazing and I love supporting you, you radiate such joy and passion and it's reflected in your art. It's unfortunate that life is like it is but you have to do what you have to do, I hope you see how much people love what you do and find a solution going forwards. ❤️

2024-07-29 16:34:33 +0000 UTCI have no problem continuing to pay what I already do for a reduced amount of work- or even less finished work (perhaps fewer finished pieces per month but then maybe a sketch of part of what you're working on here and there)- you put an EXTRAORDINARY level of work and detail into your pieces and that takes time which I don't mind waiting for. I support artists on Patreon to give them the breathing room to have the time to finish art at their own pace and reduce their stress. As a fellow artist I understand the pressure feeling like you have to put a certain amount of work out in a certain time frame while also working around your own life/job/health/etc can put on someone and I just want to help reduce that.

I'd suggest giving reminders or alerts on your main pages and socials about the frequency of your patreon posts. "Ex: patron uploads reduced this month by x amount of posts or patreon uploads increased for this month by x posts or for month of x patreon uploads will increase. That way patreons with different financial situations can pause or continue their subscriptions. But for me personally I don't mind paying what I do for you and your art. I wish you all the best

Personally I don't think it would feel unfair for you to reduce the price even if newcomers get everything cheaper, because I could've also waited to get everything at once at the price of one subscription. The reason a lot of us don't isn't always for the sake of being the first to access the art as much as simply to be able to support the artists we love and interact with them, and that's not something newcomers would get whether they pay 10, 5 or 3 dollars. At the end of the day, do what makes you most comfortable. Take care of yourself!!!

I personally don't care if you change the fee if that's what you finally decide to do, but I don't think it's unfair or anything like that. 2024-07-29 14:11:43 +0000 UTCI don't know why the main post doesn't update as it should but little edit: I am still planning to draw in my free time, I promised myself that I would finish the Breaking Point comic, and even if I don't do as much Spideypool as I did before, I would still draw other things, because drawing makes me happy. I love Spideypool and always will, but I've been also burning out a lot lately and changing the theme helps with it. It might be more X-men, maybe Naruto, maybe Sailor Moon, maybe I even draw something different or omg return to Star Trek (did you know I did ST art?). I understand if it is not what you all came for and I am just glad I could provide at least something nice to all of you.

It’s completely understandable real life happens, and while it was wonderful you were posting so frequently, I personally by no means expected that. However often you’re able to share art, most of us will wait patiently, so please take care of yourself!!
