You went Greek for edias? I honestly was expecting you to go with tiamat, with the OEBD being her dragon aspect or something. Can't wait for the next chapter though

His shit talking has more than doubled but this whole arc he hasn’t done anything but stalemate. Part of that frustration is the Far East are still being arrogant entitled dickwaffles and it doesn’t look like there’s a chance they’re actually punished/see the error of their ways

2023-10-18 12:12:01 +0000 UTCI'm pretty sure you mean Youko when you say ShadowHag, right? I'll tell you right now, Michael's out for the count if he commands her to Die. That's basically the biggest command he has, and he's three levels below Youko. If he doesn't straight up die, he'd be unconscious. Remember that Cursed Speech also uses Mind with Cursed Energy. His Mind is not as limitless as his Cursed Energy. There's also the Magic Resistance development ability that anyone worth their salt over level 5 should have, which would make him use EVEN MORE energy. His gravity could not affect the insides of the spirit. As mentioned above, his Mind reserves are not as limitless as his Cursed Energy. Gravity Manipulation uses Mind exclusively. Not only would he empty his reserves, removing his ability to use Gravity, but it would also remove Cursed Speech as it utilizes a bit of Mind. Grand Hubris is at fault for a lot of things. He is a direct counter to Youko, yet he chose to go after a Spirit Boosted Izanami instead of leaving her for Ottar. Mind you, Spirits are some of the most powerful creatures in Danmachi. Look at Edias for example. What does she offer Michael? Nigh-Infinite Cursed Energy, an almost unlimited pocket space, and a second body to fight with (Edias herself) which can utilize his abilities. I made it the fuck up. I honestly hate Omori with a passion and I'll probably deviate Canon completely while abandoning everything he has quite soon because that guy has no clue what he's doing. I hope you don't mind how much shit I made up? I tried to make it a bit entertaining... Hope this was insightful!

He had plenty of energy to do so… also it’s a curse technique that relies on curse energy and with Edias he has essentially unlimited curse energy so he can pump as much energy as needed in that command. Also why doesn’t he just keep the Gravity set to maximum and squash everyone in that general area? He definitely has enough energy to keep that up until ShadowHag makes a mistake and steps out of the spirits protection to attack. Is it Grand Hubris fault for making him not do any of that? Also is Typhon actually canon or something you made up? I always figured the Dungeon was Typhons prison since I read Danmachi but it’s never been confirmed or hinted at other than the constant monsters popping up. As I can only think of either Typhon or Echidna being the major causes. Well other than Xolotl but ain’t no way a Japanese author would use any of the Aztec Gods as they’re rather brutal even for gods.

And by the time I finished the chapter I realised I started skimming almost half of the chapter. Personally I feel like this chapter quality was lower compared to other. Just my 2 cent.
