2023-06-21 16:51:37 +0000 UTCQuestion question! Are Ravel's clothes flame retardant? Oddly in Anime when one attacks one doesn't damage one's clothing with it, maybe it's because people when thinking of themselves don't visualize themselves naked so the clothing becomes immune to damage from one's technique.

2023-06-07 10:16:00 +0000 UTCRichard was very hurt and did not wish to force Ravel into having to beat him up just to win. He knew he could not win, and he was not so much of a sore loser that he'd force her into a draw. Both Neville and Holly could've possibly tried to make it a draw as well, but they both did not wish to do something so cowardly. It'd look very bad if Richard did so.

2023-06-07 10:15:40 +0000 UTCNot how it works, no. That's usually against vampires and werewolves, and even then it's not a weakness of DXD Devils if it's the weakness of any other media's devils. Great thinking though!

2023-06-07 10:13:58 +0000 UTCAllow me to copy and paste the answer I gave yall on my discord channel thing in SGO. Now regarding this chapter's Ravel fight. You can see at the start of the battle that Richard was not very bothered and even optimistic despite his very reasonable thought process of "Yeah I'm probably losing." The reason Richard seemed so bothered by loss so suddenly, was because he has never known loss before. He sacrificed his hand for his victory against Holly. I need you to remember that, while Richard knew he could heal, he did not know at the time that his healing extended to his limbs. He wasn't sure, at the very least. Richard never knew he hated loss, and once he realized he was slowly losing against Ravel... He did not like it. A common misconception that even my betas had was that this is some 20 year old guy isekai'd here with memory loss, no. Richard does not have any life experience. He's basically a toddler with a bit more maturity and intelligence. There's also some incomprehensible memories slammed in there. As the fight slowly progressed and Richard noticed his attacks did jackshit to Ravel... his hatred for defeat slowly made itself known and he realized that he was going to lose (and that he hated that). It was a bit angsty, but I know when to make my writing a bit more serious rather than humorous lmao. As for the Holly Potter stuff The Holly stuff is not a plot hole, it's a thing that I should be explaining later I'll point out some stuff you know first. 1. Holly did not know any of the required spellwork for that spell and was basically just pushing magic in forcefully to achieve that effect. On the other hand, Hermione and Richard both knew the theory and managed to keep it up for a lot longer. 2. Holly has admitted that, in her training with Sirius, she's skipped over a lot of the basic spells in favor of more advanced stuff that would help her with survivability rather than versatility. Sirius stated that he wanted her to still have her childhood at Hogwarts and did not teach her any of the basic spells that would most likely not make much of a difference in a survival situation. Have fun

2023-06-07 09:52:39 +0000 UTCBoth chapters today were great, but the last fight with ravel seemed like a complete genre shift. I guess it's because how quickly the mood shifted from humorous to serious, and at the end with the admitting defeat part seeming to genre shift to angst. That came as a surprise since we never had any indication that Richard feared being defeated. It seems too sudden and completely unlike the rest of the chapters. Maybe change the "I don't want to lose ever again" part to something else? We've seen him being afraid of changes so maybe something that highlights that?

2023-06-07 05:28:50 +0000 UTCCouldnt he have won if he transmuted silver? If i recall, Silver is considered holy by default, so...

2023-06-07 04:16:56 +0000 UTCTook me a while to get through these big, meaty chapters. I halfway expected you to finish in the middle of the tournament but you just kept going. You're probably my favorite fanfic author. Absolutely wonderful fight scenes, character interactions, and humor that has me smiling stupid and laughing hard. Overall wonderful chapters, I absolutely cannot wait for the next ones but will gladly do so for this insane quality. Great job.

2023-06-07 03:45:36 +0000 UTCIs it a loss when he could have ran the time to draw, when to win he would have to go far enough to either curse ravel to not heal or cause enough psychological stress for her to give up.

2023-06-07 02:57:01 +0000 UTCSo I take it he is somewhat related to Gaia? Also it is somewhat weird Holly can do all those advanced spells like it's nothing, yet in chapter 1 she could only make a card float shakily a little before it fell bit with wingardium leviosa, a super basic spell
