July Update

I firmly believe that odd years are very good to me and even years are my time to struggle. That's why a month after I lost Anne, I caught covid for the first time. Putting that out there now since it affects the rest of this update LMAO

double updates - last month we finally hit the $1000/mo mark, so double updates are officially a thing! $5+ patrons can now expect two pages a week on Mondays aaaand Fridays ;D (and hopefully we'll get to triple updates soon 👀👀)

chapter one - I'm in the process of revising the first book so i can order a Big Old Batch of comics. $15+ patrons will be receiving books at no cost and lower tiers will be able to buy book one for a discount ☺️

chapter two - is officially halfway done!! I got through flats while on vacation, shading the week I got back, and backgrounds during my unexpected seven days in quarantine. Forgive me for being bad at posting sketched pages & scenes tho…I'm honestly adjusting to how many single pages I need to queue now LOL

will probably move those updates from Fri to Wed, so every other Wednesday will be a new set of penciled pages for $10+ patrons and once a month I'll post a scene for $15+. Keep things going throughout the week 👍🏼

physical perks - unfortunately these were pushed back Again with the whole getting sick thing last month. the only good news is that I was able to use part of my time in quarantine to clean out the office and make it usable again. (to be very honest, I stopped going in there once I moved two of the litter boxes in so Anne’s horrendous diarrhea was semi-contained. 2022 has really been living up to my expectations of how even-numbered usually go.)

so I know I keep saying this, but I’m making JULY the month that I catch back up on perks. If you haven’t already: make sure your address is up-to-date:

1. While logged into your Patreon account, hover over your profile avatar to open the user menu
2. Click on Manage memberships from the menu list
3. Find your creator, and click the Update button under the "Shipping Address" section.
4. You can select from any shipping address already on file, or click the Add a new address option. You can also opt-out of receiving physical benefits by selecting I prefer not to receive benefits through the mail
5. Click the Save button

sunkissedcomic(dot)com the OTHER thing I was able to do in quarantine is make some serious updates to Sunkissed’s main website! it is still very much a wip, but I was able to switch hosts and get a basic site up & running. I’ll be sharing the news with the world once all of the pages are up, but figured I’d let y’all know where a Very Good Chunk of my time has gone

personal updates - okay, I know I’ve sprinkled in some of my recent sob stories, but overall things have been good!! it’s just me and Bianca now, which has been quiet but nice. getting sick wasn’t even awful. it actually gave me a solid chance to get things done around the apartment and wrap up some comic projects that I’ve been thinking about for a while. (using the pandemic for the grind like a true hustler.)
