June Update

Welp this update will have some ups and downs because May was a very up-and-down month, especially towards the end. I’ll start by saying greetings from the sunshine state ☀️  I’m traveling this week, so this update will actually go up while I’m on a plane LOL. Still got some pretty big news to share about chapters one aND two tho! 

chapter one is on schedule to be available in ~print~ this summer. My test book arrived a few days ago and at first glance did not look like a Complete Disaster. I’ll be reviewing that this week, and if all goes well I can move forward with getting the book printed in bulk. hope to start preorders this month and send copies out to $15+ patrons as soon as July! All other patrons will be able to buy book one at a discount. In the meantime, a PDF version is available right here if you up your pledge to $15 ☺️

chapter two is halfway outlined (with the goal of finishing the remaining flats on my travels— wish me luck). planning to keep up with the bi-weekly sketched pages and monthly finished scenes. it‘s looking like this next chapter will be finished by next year 👀👀

next goal is in very close reach!!! About ~$100/mo away from posting a whopping two pages a week. literally a goal everyone can be excited to reach!! Been trying to promo it more wherever I host Sunkissed to convince people now is a great time to join :’)

personal updates and now for the shitty bits. Exactly a week ago, I decided to let my little Anne go. She stopped eating, slowed down a lot, and just looked exhausted from the cancer. It broke my heart and I’m literally tearing up as I write this, but she was so peaceful when I let her go. Like, the most at peace I’d seen her in a long time. I’m just still processing the fact that it happened. Anne was an incredibly special kitty and I’m torn between feeling upset she was only in my life for four years vs feeling so grateful we met each other. So yeah, I’ve been taking things slow and will try to use this week as feel good time (even if coming home will suck without Anne there to greet me 💔)

So between a weird summer cold a couple weekends ago and losing Anne this past weekend, shipments for May got put on the back burner. They’ll be a priority when I get back home next week since I know I’ve fallen very behind 😞

Not expecting any of this to affect other updates here. As hard as the last week has been, I grieve by staying busy so working on ch 2 has actually been very therapeutic.
