I forgot to mention, another set of spoofs, not directed by Mel Brooks, that you should check out are the Hot Shots movies. The first one mainly spoofs Top Gun and the second one spoofs mostly the Rambo movies.

Honey, I Shrunk the Kids was definitely a favorite of mine growing up. Amber and Jay can even show it to their kids since it’s Disney

A Mel Brooks classic spoof movie. John Candy at his best as Barf. Bill Pullman has not received as much credit as he deserves. He's an excellent actor IMO, sleepless in Seattle and Independence Day one of his finest works. And you can't say enough about Rick Moranis, an actor that came down with John Candy from Canada from SCTV. Too many movies to count. You should check out Honey I shrunk the kids. And speaking of John Candy and you know Tom Hanks well enough you've got to see the movie "Splash" they made a great comedy team, great chemistry.

That stomach monster is famously known as the “John Hurt Moment” in Alien (another must see series) John Hurt also played in the Harry Potter series as Olivander who sold Harry his first wand. Fun fact, when John Hurt turned up on the set, he did not know he was recreating his famous stomach monster scene from Alien.

Awesome!
Been waiting for y'all to do this one.
It'll also be nice to watch you recat to a spoof-comedy that you've actually seen the source material behind much of the jokes.
