January Update

First off, Happy New Year! Second, I'm gonna try making monthly update posts to keep you guys up-to-date on what's happening with me & my work! December was pretty great because I had three weeks off and used them to drawdrawdraw so this update will be promising! (We shall see what future updates will bring lol I start classes again this week :') )

Status Report

Chapter two has finished backgrounds and is completely sketched! (Spoiler alert: they'll be kissing by then LOL) The first pages are already queue'd to start for $10 patrons on January 15.  I'm working my way through outlines & coloring, and hope to have it finished by the end of this month, BUT I'm also working on the patreon reward comic which I'm making myself finish by the end of this month |D The comic will be available to all patrons for the month of February, then I'm bumping it up to the $10 reward tier. (I figured everyone helped get me to that $100 goal so everyone should get to see it, but if you're pledging less than $10 you'll need to download/save it before March!) I've attached a PDF of the first three pages (without color) here as a little teaser, plus this ;)

Other Things

You might remember me asking everyone to fill out a survey about what you want to get from your pledges: bad news is I don't know when I'll be able to start sending out postcards regularly, but the good news is I can start creating wallpapers and tutorials right away!! My goal for now is to post wallpapers monthly and tutorials randomly. (Alas, I need suggestions for what tutorials I should make! You can message me anytime on Patreon, or if you prefer to request something anonymously, send it through this google form!) Wallpapers & tutorials will be available to all patrons, and all patrons are welcome to make suggestions/requests :>

I've also made a few changes to the goals section; your support is so very appreciated, but it also came much quicker than I had anticipated LOL. And unfortunately since I'm at a bit of a crossroad in my life (graduating in May and looking for a realreal job atm!) I don't want to make promises I can't keep. So I upped the double updates goal to $500 (don't hate me) BUT when I reach my next goal I'm going to send all patrons an exclusive ~4x5" print! It'll be my way of testing out the process before I commit to sending postcards out regularly ;) 

Since it's January, I've been trying to plan for the new year, so here are some things to expect: there will be a Q&A either at the end of chapter 1 or to celebrate the 1 year anniversary; I'm going to post some Sunkissed related things on my redbubble (one day I'll make real merch but this webcomic is still an infant lol); chapters 1 & 2 will be posted entirely by September and should be available in print by fall/winter 2018!

Not patreon related, but I created a tumblr strictly for Sunkissed related things! It's still very new, so bear with me while I fill it with goodies. (tbh, I made it proactively so I have a place to store fanmade things lol SHHH ive already been blessed with fanart and i got excited)

Also! My birthday is this month!! That has little to do with you guys but I'm just excited.

And fun fact, I announced the launch date exactly one year ago! 2017 went way way better than I could have ever hoped :') I'm looking forward to another good year with you guys! <33
