Game Theme Polling Preference
Added 2021-05-04 22:04:31 +0000 UTCWhat type of polling for game themes do you prefer? This poll is to help decide what to do in July 2021 and onward.
Options:
50 game themes in first month; Top 25 in second month: 50 game themes poll in first month. Top 25 themes move on to a second poll (conducted in the second month of a two-month sequence). Winner of second poll becomes a new game. Any losing theme in both the first and second poll that receives at least one vote will return to the first poll in a future month (losing themes in the second poll will not skip the first poll). All themes that receive zero votes will not appear on any future polls.
25 game themes poll in first month; Returning and top themes (25 total themes) in second month: Top themes move on to a second poll against returning themes (conducted in the second month of a two-month sequence). Winner of second poll becomes a new game. The losers of the first poll will return to the first poll of a future month as long as they receive at least one vote. The losers of the second poll will return to the second poll of a future month (skipping the first poll) as long as they receive at least one vote. All themes that receive zero votes will not appear on any future polls. This is how we currently do it.
Note: There is currently a poll (New Games & Game Updates Monthly Polls July 2021-Onward) for whether to make a new game every three months instead of two months. If that polling option wins in that other poll, then we will have a three-month sequence of polling instead of a two-month sequence. In a three-month sequence, the top two polling themes in the second month will face off in a head-to-head 1 vs 1 poll conducted in the third month with the winner of the third month poll becoming a new game.
