Also - just practicing doing things that move energy away from reason or filtering is a good way to access that part of yourself - that is not gone by the way. It never goes away.

At the very least, therapy makes you feel like someone else is sharing the burden of how you feel and that by itself can take some of the weight off.

2024-09-01 21:31:29 +0000 UTCI think meds for mental struggles is just a temporary solution, it helps in the first year of therapy to feel at ease while you are working on yourself with a therapist... more than year or two is a bit risky and without no benifits. Also a deep research need to be done to not fall in the risk of taking real damaging and hard to go off meds(experiencing Akathisia for example). Once you made sure with a trusted docter to take the right meds temporary, they will help you see the world in another light, it will give you hope and lift the dead weight on your shoulders. Use tgat year to work on your inner stuff with a T so you can get off of them sooner. Other things that help: workouts, having goals and working on them, clean diet, supplements like magnesium glycinate, valeriana, or ashwaghanda( never used it but they say it is good for your mood).

But I think it’s more like about the makeover and of the hair and the outfit and the makeup. Both versions are beautiful but the end result is like the dramatic fun makeover. Like think of movies where that happens all the time. If you think they look ugly in the pre makeover phase, it’s more on you that likes all the glam better. I personally never view that as them being naturally ugly. The purpose is more for other women and for them to just have fun. That’s the difference with female to male gaze. So funny how I typed that all out just as Zach got to the point of it lol
