"Tattered Old Housecat" is a lovesong that was inspired by my two cats, Penny & Pippin. Last February I had the pleasure of touring Europe. The tour was so fun and fulfilling. About 10 shows into the trip I began to feel quite homesick and to cheer myself up I decided to put this silly song into the set and it was a hit! What made it better was my good friend and opener for the tour, Roofman, hopping on stage and playing it with me. We had such a good time performing for these audiences and it's a trip that I will hold in my heart for a long time. on one of our few days off Roofman and I decided to record "Tattered Old Housecat" in his home studio in the Netherlands. We came up with a really fun recording that I absolutely love! The irony is that every time I hear this recording I now feel homesick for The Netherlands haha.
