March Full Release: Pre-Alpha v0.06
Added 2018-04-02 04:35:06 +0000 UTC
Ain't no April Fool's joke here - squeaking in at the beginning of April (with a few bug fixes and a content addition, if we're to blame anything for lateness) we have our March Full Release for Monolighter.
Even with last month's content release, this one feels pretty hefty already, with the addition of something special (music) to make it feel a lot more alive than before. Also, for fans of the old CGs, they've made a triumphant return.
So without further ado, here's the full changelog for v0.06:

As for v0.07, we'll be looking at stuff I've mentioned in prior updates. The major content additions (aside from more CGs for existing NPCs) will be two (maybe three) new areas - a new street, a new mission, and a new hub area. It might not all make it by next build (since we're time-based, not content-based), but we'll be making sure the next build is packed with stuff otherwise.
See y'all on Monday!

2018-05-06 00:49:45 +0000 UTCDid you recently get the Creators update? Make sure you're in Game mode; they made it default to a "balanced" mode or something, and it kills games. - Asante

2018-05-05 12:13:02 +0000 UTCI honestly don't recall if I mentioned this ever before, so forgive me I have already, but the only consistent issue I have found with the releases is the fact that while full screened, the frame rate overall is constantly slow, making animations look odd, moving to places and getting through cutscenes take forever. However, if the game windowed and much smaller, the frame rate spikes up, actually becoming faster than what it seems like it should, among making all text look weird and compressed. Originally, I thought the slow frame rate was intentional until I encountered the frame rate spike when the game isn't full screened, and I don't know if others have experienced this and just didn't realize it like I didn't, or if there is some other issue causing it. Tried lowering the graphic quality as low as possible and it still experience the grueling slowdown with full screened, and the frame rate still spiked when windowed. And this has been the same case with all playable versions so far.

2018-04-08 21:55:30 +0000 UTCThanks as always. We'll look into the bugs, particularly the stairs, since that involves tackling a separate issue, ie. consistent items in maps. Hacking is definitely something we want to explore further - it's tied to a mechanic that we've been working on, where you talk to the appliances, hence the 'convincing' tactic. All stuff to come in time, though.
