YOUNG GUNS II (1990) Full Length REACTION!

Comments

I always liked this movie a lot more than the first. (Though I do still love the main music them of the original.) The tragic deaths of various cast members were just so effective, and I also found Billy more charismatic in this one as well. That said, I think you have a really good point about how opening with Billy as an old man really took away from the suspense of the ending.

Another legend says... Emilio Estevez requested to use the Bon Jovi song "Wanted: Dead of Alive" for the film, but Jon felt that the lyrics about a touring rock band weren't quite right for a western film. Jon was on location during filming and was even included in the prison escape scene. One day the lead cast went out to a diner, and Jon allegedly scribbled out this #1 hit song on a napkin while the rest sat there eating their cheeseburgers. I was hoping in your review you would talk a little about the addition/inclusion of "Arkansas" Dave Rudabaugh, who also had some association with the Earps/Holliday/Masterson. Glad you enjoyed the film. You should check out Little Big Man with Dustin Hoffman. He gives a similar performance as an aging relic of the old west telling his tale, like Emilio's "Brushy Bill Roberts" at the beginning.
