The game features six main characters, Roran, Astreius, Zorja, Ishi, Toni and Salvador. These characters are featured in a quest to solve the mystery of the Black Hand cult and its relation to their gods. Characters in this setting can be circled by gods and work underneath them. The story follows Zorja as she comes into her own as a god of this world. Her friends become her official Circle. The setting features different magic types, its own races and elements. The villain of the game is a Reaper named Mora whose intention is to birth a new world using Zorja?s abilities. He was responsible for her original disabilities and haunts much of the storyline. The six standard races are Targa, which are tribal animal hybrids, Ghel, which are horned fire grecian people, Ireli, which are crystalline jungle magic users, Midlin, which are insectoid robot vampires, Rorkar, which are a short and sturdy earth people, and Azani, which are avian people with reversed gender roles. The game has an elaborate crafting and upgrade system. Buffs are cooked that last a certain number of battles. Characters upgrade themselves on skill trees that unlock after certain story milestones. The game also features an equipment upgrading system that uses a node based branching choices. It also utilizes a close battle camera that pans between the enemy and ally team depending on the turn. Our turn timeline is a precise measurement of when a character will go and how long it will be until their turn which can vary depending on the moves and speeds.
