They have grown up together and (along with Anaya) are facing adulth0od together. Soona goes with Noa to climb the ruined skyscrapers left behind by the humans, and hopes to bring back an eagle's egg (a vital element in the rite of transition to adulthood). Soona is later captured and enslaved by the Marauders led by Sylva, and is reunited with Noa much later...sUPPORTING LEAD

40s - 50s; female, an adult chimpanzee, she is Noa's mother and Koro's wife, and she is full of pride and love for her son. Dar is open with her emotions, and is captured and enslaved by the Gorillas after they raid Eagle Clan. she has a quiet inner strength, which becomes evident at Proximus's camp. She later is joyfully reunited

40s - 50s; male, Noa's father, and an imperious male chimpanzee, Koro is the Master of Eagles and one of the most respected apes in Eagle Clan. For Noa, Koro is a difficult father to please, rarely showing Noa acknowledgement or praise. Koro loves his son but can't express it. He's a powerful presence in the lives of the clan and his son. This presence persists, even after Koro's death. Koro is killed when the Marauders led by Sylva raid the village..SUPPORTING LEAD
