Actor to portray a Character that is Male, Black, 15 years old. Very smart, boisterous, supremely self-confident, passionate, goal-oriented, ambitious, Chris Paul is an enormously talented young basketball player with an uncanny intuition and grasp of the game, which he hones by hours of drills on his own. Driven and focused, Chris loves basketball with all his heart, and knows that this is what he wants to do with his life. Very close to his parents and brother C.J., Chris is especially tight with his grandfather, Papa Chilly Jones, whose down-to-earth wisdom and unconditional support bolsters Chris' considerable self-esteem but also keeps him grounded--and Chris, who can be volatile, needs some grounding. At only 5'9", Chris struggles to get on the Varsity team at his high school, and can't -- won't -- believe it when the JV coach tells him that basketball is all about height now and he's just too short. As Chris navigates his high school basketball career (with a detour to football), his grandfather remains the guiding light of his life--and it's up to Chris to decide how he's going to handle himself when his grandfather is no longer in his life...LEAD
