character portrayed is mid-20s, Sri Lankan, female. Friendly and funny, Sachini is the daughter of an outgoing Sri Lankan musician who moved his family to Austin, Texas, when she was in middle school. Though she has struggled to find her way as an adult, she is obsessed with contests and radio call-ins, and she finds herself in a marathon Kiss-A-Car contest that turns into a gauntlet that she didn’t expect. She suffers from panic attacks which drove her to drop out of school and estranged her from her family. But with the support of her husband, she is able to find the determination within herself to stick out the kiss-a-car contest till the end and find a bridge back to her father. LEAD. ONE EPISODE.

[ REHAN ]
character portrayed is mid-30’s, male, Sri Lankan. Sachini’s zen husband, he tries to find the balance between cheering his wife on while encouraging her to take care of her mental health. Supportive and kind, he celebrates her successes and gently checks in on her to make sure she’s OK. SUPPORTING. ONE EPISODE.

[ HASHAN ]
character portrayed is mid-30s - 50s, Sri Lankan, male. Sachini’s father, first seen in flashback, was a well-known musician, artist and teacher in Sri Lanka before moving to the US.  Once in America, he has trouble landing a job and ends up being a janitor at a school. Disappointed that his daughter has dropped out of school, he is able to find pride in her joy about the contest. Musical instrument skills and/or singing ability a plus. SUPPORTING. ONE EPISODE.
