Character is 17, 1/2 Black 1/2 Asian, male/non-binary/gender nonconforming. Aster was born into a secret magical community where traditionally boys become shapeshifters when they come of age and girls become witches. Reserved but with great emotional depth, Aster hides the desire to be a witch and not a shape shifter when the time comes to receive powers. But when a mysterious danger threatens the community, Aster sets out on a mission to save it and discovers the power to live authentically with no apologies. LEAD ROLE. MUST HAVE SINGING ABILITY.
