Loveable, FUNNY, fallible, utterly human protagonist and narrator. A bright, charismatic, funny and sensitive young woman. A comedienne in the vein of Lucille Ball. Is both full of bravado and also very sensitive to other people. Has deeply buried self-worth issues, but covers this almost entirely with swagger and humor. Female mid 40s Supporting
Maternal, one who notices everything, maintains the balance. A deep thinker and deep feeler with a quiet, but very keennsense of humor. A steady, bright, creative and warm presence. She's supportive and strong. A good listener, a sensitive soul. Must be able to cary a tune.


[Ines]
Female early 20s Supporting
The perfect golden child of the family with effortless grace and poise. Vocal clarity like a stereotypical princess. She always sounds like a genius. But below the surface, she's very insecure. Must be a Broadway caliber singer.

Female early 20s Supporting
Husky, athletic, thuggish, large sound. A jock. Tough, funny and secretly bursting with outsized emotions that conflict with her outward facing persona. Very funny, very sincere. Some comedic sing-talking- should be comfortable carrying a bit of a tune.

Male late 40s Supporting
Gregarious, funny, handsome and warm he's the life of any party he's ever been to. Deeply devoted to his mercurial wife and talented children, he's kind and much beloved. MUST BE A GOOD SINGER.

Our protagonist's nemesis. Has special talents that he uses to taunt her. A very FUNNY, whiny weaver of tall tales who is unafraid to tell it like it is. MUST SING.

The family matriarch. A woman whose steely strength and single-minded determination to do whatever is necessary to protect her family has never wavered. Some might feel that Andrea's grip is too strong. that her need for perfection is too
much, but Andrea's not one to let anyone's concerns get in the.way of doing what's right. She's the leader, she's responsible she's right (no matter what). A tough, exacting badass with a very dry sense of humor. MUST HAVE A GOOD SINGING VOICE.

Afro-Latina, (20). She is a low-talking close-talker. She is a somewhat anxious, socially awkward, but well-meaning truth-teller. MUST SING. (Supporting)
