[MIKE]
Lead Male (30)
[Black] "Handsome… the embodiment of what it means to make a hard, honest living." A construction worker who is planning to go to architecture school and has finally saved enough to buy his girlfriend DAWN a beautiful engagement ring. He's very
happy with his current life until his former best friend and partner in (literal) crime MARVIN gets released from prison and wants to relive old times. Mike reluctantly lets Marvin drag him to ZANOBIA's club, where a group of men working for rival club
owner CJ (and Mike's old nemesis) stage a hold-up and steal the engagement ring Mike bought for Dawn. Desperate to get it back, Mike lets Marvin rope him into a plan to rob CJ's vault.
This means that he starts stressing and sneaking around and keeping secrets from Dawn, and their relationship deteriorates. Though he no longer cares much about getting the ring back, Marvin convinces him that he has to go through with the heist for the sake of their crew, and he does so. He also apologizes to Dawn, and to his delight Marvin succeeds in rescuing the engagement ring. He finally proposes to Dawn, and they live happily ever after.

CHARLES "CJ" JACKSON
Supporting Male (40 - 50)
[Black] A criminal-cum-businessman from Mike and Marvin's old neighborhood. He's always been a smug, condescending bully and they hate him. As such, Marvin is able to convince Mike to get back at CJ by robbing his vault. CJ is planning a massive New Year's Eve party at his latest nightclub venture (Club Bank) and hires Dawn to plan the event, and also uses this as an attempt to rekindle their old and very dead fling. However he ultimately fails at that, and Mike and Marvin's crew takes him for a ton of money.
