Logline: A man's life is changed forever after a beautiful actress, who is pregnant by movie star Richard Burton, arrives in his tiny coastal

"Eyes as pure and blue as the water." A young man from a tiny Italian fishing village who runs his family's hotel after death of his father. He becomes infatuated with DEE MORAY, a beautiful American actress who comes to stay in the village
while waiting for her lover - the movie star RICHARD BURTON - to come join her. When he learns that Dee is dying, Pasquale sets off to Rome to retrieve Richard - only to learn that Dee is not ill, but pregnant. Richard comes to see Dee but refuses to
help her, and a besotted Pasquale proposes to marry her and raise her child. However, he has a crisis of conscience at his hypocrisy and instead marries AMADEA, his own spurned lover, with whom he had a baby.

"Tall and blond." . An American actress who had a small role in Cleopatra, and has traveled to Pasquale's village to await her lover Richard Burton. She believes herself to be dying of stomach cancer. After Pasquale returns from Rome bringing Richard, Dee finds out that MICHAEL DEANE lied to her in order to trick her into having a "cancer treatment" that would actually be an abortion. When it's clear Richard won't do anything for her, she has a small romance with Pasquale but winds up returning to America alone and having the baby. Years later Pasquale shows up to see her in Idaho, and now she is actually dying of cancer. He takes her to Italy to live out the rest of her life with his family. 06/10/20 TMJ: Elle Fanning passed

Years later, he's a washed up producer writing a memoir when Pasquale comes calling to try to track down Dee. Realizing that he can turn Pasquale and Dee's life rights into a movie, he agrees to help. He does actually find Dee, but his
horrified assistant Claire gets him to agree to give her the project so that he doesn't screw up their story.

Supporting Male (25) White [American/White]
A hyper-ambitious young exec at Fox who is sent to Italy to keep order on the troubled Cleopatra set. To protect Richard's tabloid-friendly relationship with LIZ TAYLOR, he tells Dee she is dying of cancer in the hopes of getting her off the set and tricking her into an abortion. Despite being caught in the dirty trick, he has no real remorse.

Michael's assistant, who is stuck in a dead-end job at his defunct production company. When Pasquale comes calling she is charmed by him and agree to help him find Dee - and is horrified with Michael upon learning the entire story of
what happened all those years ago. When Michael convinces Pasquale to sign away his life rights, Claire decides she wants to make the ensuing film herself. It's not very successful.

A publicist for Fox working on Cleopatra, an epic fast-talker and manipulator. He sent Dee to Pasquale's hotel in order to cover up her pregnancy due to an affair with Richard Burton. He explains all of this to Pasquale, who travels to Rome in order to
find Dee's mysterious lover.

Supporting Male (37) [Welsh]
The blustering famous actor, filming Cleopatra in Rome. He was Dee's lover briefly while he was also embarking on his famous affair with LIZ TAYLOR, he had no idea that Michael Deane had Dee sent away. When he learns what happened, he agrees to come with Pasquale to see Dee, but
can't bring himself to do right by her.

Supporting Male (30) [Italian]
Pasquale's fisherman friend, who transports people to and from the village. He often hangs around the hotel gossiping with Pasquale and other local men. He also helps Pasquale fight of GUALFREDO and PELLE.

[GUALFREDO]

"Preening." A hotelier from the nearby resort town of Portovenere who insists on extracting a "tax" from Pasquale for operating a competing hotel. After Gualfredo tricks Dee into coming to stay at his hotel, Pasquale and his friends finally
chase him off.

Pasquale's mother, the cook at their hotel.
Curmudgeonly and outspoken, she constantly insults Dee for being a "whore" - but in Italian so Dee can't understand. She also helps chase off Gualfredo.

Supporting Female (30) White [American]
The famous actress currently playing the lead in
Cleopatra. She and Richard are sleeping together, though she's married to someone else, and they fight constantly, throwing the whole production into chaos.

[PELLE]
Supporting Male (60 - 69) [Italian]
"A giant." Gualfredo's lackey, who comes with him to
intimidate Pasquale and provides the necessary muscle.
