I also use logcat for every Android game i use but sadly i still got no rly helpful data to use for/or solve the issue.

Mini updates and outfits doesn't take away much time from main story development. Outfits are generally worked on when the artist is waiting on feedback on other work. You can see the general plans in the progress report below this post.

Is there a general plan on the future of the story, possible new characters or advancements of character story arcs (is cho finished yet? Don't remember off the top of my hat). I'm curious and i can't remember a post about it, so excuse me if there was. Because i feel like at the moment, about half of the effort goes into new outfits for all the characters and sometimes the odd mirror story. I can imagine those are way easier to do and thus are filler content in between the rest of the development finishing up, but at least for me, the dress up factor of the game is not as important or even completely irrelevant, so seeing 50% of patch notes being new outfits added to characters is kind of disheartening when it comes to story progression...

Memory leaks would be present on any version of the game. The issue is specifically with android in this case unfortunately. It's also not present when emulating android so we require reports from the devices of users experiencing the issue. A logcat file basically shows the logs of what is happening on your device when the game crashes. Although it requires developer mode to be active, some developer settings and connecting your device to a PC to extract the logs. There's some tutorials on how to do it, main reason we've not gotten any logfiles is that it requires more steps to provide a logcat file than a normal crash report.

Idk what a logcat is but sad crab has a similar crash on their app innocent witches and turned out to be a memory leak in the code. I'm just a fapper idk shit about game development or coding but if u have a way to trace for a memory leak that might be a place to start

We're aware of the crashing issues on android, if anyone experiencing crashes could provide us with a logcat file then we'd be able to look into it further as the Ren'py reports doesn't provide enough information.

The android issues came with the same Ren'py update that was necessary to keep distributing android builds of the game as the tools we used became obsolete. We've been doing some more extensive tests ourselves but we're limited to our own android devices. Ren'py crash reports doesn't provide enough information on android so we require "logcat" reports. So far we haven't had any sent in to us so we're limited to our own tests. If anyone experiencing crash issues would be able to provide us with a logcat file on our Discord then we'd appreciate it. Our initial tests pointed towards the device’s OpenGL ES driver returning incorrect values for matrix multiplications. Other crashes also has to do with not enough memory on the device. Or a device that supports a very high resolution and therefore requiring more memory than listed as the game uses the resolution of the device.

Crashes on every version of android as I've tried 3 different phones and it crashed at the wardrobe in each, I know it's only a dollar a month but the support for this game is terrible, no updates on what the issue is other than "it's a driver problem on" some" devices we can't fix it". Extremely disappointing as the mod itself is great but I can't play any more than 20 minutes and I can't use the wardrobe

So yeah, this... It's already not fluently running but the crashes are happening frequently on android.

I think if you make Genie a bit more magical then it should open up very wide possibility of story writing. I mean he's just supposed to be weakened right? At least I'm sure he could have grown more dicks out of his forehead if he wanted to.
