Feed My Affection 0.26.0

I have finally been working on the inventory system and it is coming along quite nicely.

It is not integrated into the game yet as it is quite an intricate system that will require a fair bit of work to do so, but I have implemented most of the main functions.

You can:

• Pick up and store items.
• Inspect them to see their item cards.
• Drag and drop them to combine with other items in the inventory.
• Drag and drop them to combine with other items in the environment.

The item cards are not filled out and will need reworking though, as they are designed only with food items in mind, but there will be other kinds of item.

Known Issues:

• Items snap back to the wrong slot after the arrow buttons have been used.
• Some of the items have their hotspots misaligned.
• Sometimes items will appear below the fridge and door layers when dragged.
• Dragging is a little clunky on Android. After releasing the drag button, the item will appear and follow your finger when you tap and hold on the screen.

Future Plan:

Now the inventory is mostly there, I will be working to resolve the bugs and integrate the system into the main game. Due to how differently the inventory system operates to my feeding game, I will have to redo a lot of work there too.

Within the next few main game updates I will try to make it so that you can go to the shop, buy some food, go to Wanda's and then feed it to her from your inventory. How long this takes will depend on how many hurdles I meet along the way.

Once I achieve this milestone, I will be moving onto:

• More repeatable feeding events e.g. feeding Becca.
• Repeatable pizza deliveries.
• Character Profiles/Stats.

As these features do not need to be implemented in any particular order, I will also bring back voting for this stuff. For this month, there will just be another bonus content vote.

And speaking of bonus content, I will be working on that new animation soon! It will most likely appear in version 0.28.

• A demo for the inventory system has been added to the game.

• A new date with Becca!
• Added a mobile phone button to the UI. This currently just serves as way to message Becca to start the date.
• New art for Becca in a different outfit, this time with a scene for her eating lots of food. Some new poses included.
• A new side character, the delivery girl, with artwork has been added.
• Added a new location, the suburbs. You can now visit Becca's and Wanda's houses directly, but they cannot be entered unless there is a special event.
• Day, evening and night art for the new placeholder backgrounds has been added. Also added some art for opening Becca's front door from the inside.
