2024-02-23 23:25:12 +0000 UTCgreat job, but I'm going to be the one to tell you that Pumpkin pie is not made with graham cracker crust, it is made with a traditional crust. Graham cracker crust is used for cheese cakes or like a key lime type pie.

2024-02-23 00:30:45 +0000 UTCGreat job for first time. In US you can buy cans of puree with spices already inside. Depends if you like their spice level or want your own. Would use a dough pie crust next time. Several different recipes that can be used. I like a darker looking pie with more of a firm custard feel. With that you can use brown sugar and evaporated milk. Other recipes use condensed milk for sweetness and thickness. Takes experimentation. I have never found a premade pumpkin pie in a store that I like.

Easy way to check if the pie is done is just to stick a toothpick in the middle, if it comes out clean it done. Just let it cool down for an hour or so. Served warm with whipped cream is the best. I was impressed with your one hand egg cracking James. Can't wait for your U.S trip video's. You're going to have a great time here!!!
