2023-03-11 19:51:03 +0000 UTCSorry, I'm a brief (4 yrs while in school) resident of NORTH Carolina and am therefore partial to "pig pickling sauce", which is pretty much like your "hot vinegar pepper sauce" except I generally use pulverized red Thai chiles ("bird peppers") and you don't have to let it sit all that long. Can't get used to the idea of letting mustard anywhere near my pulled pork.

2023-03-09 08:45:26 +0000 UTCCharleston SC here. We have a BBQ Sauce called A mustard BBQ ssauce. It has a little honey in it, but has the tart taste of yellow mustard with a tiny touch of vinegar. "Maurices was the original, and it's sold under the name, "Carolina Gold". The other sauce is Hot-Vinegar Pepper sauce. It's homemade. All you do is put a lot of hot peppers, picayne, jalapeño and others in a Mason jar(very important. Good things come in Mason Jars in the South. From Pepper Sauce to Sweet Tea, to Moonshine). Then fill the Mason Jar with Your favorite Vinegar, Apple wine is my favorite. Put it in your cabinet for about a month. Truthfullyit just gets better and better. Its used on Vegetables. Especially good on Collard and Mustard greens, Excellent on Fried Chicken or grilled Pork Chops... Ok, I'm Hungry again. ..Thanks for the Post.Rick, Charleston SC

2023-03-08 06:29:16 +0000 UTCI grew up in Boise and the Fry Sauce was a staple with Finger Steaks. I still make them at home to this day. And Bleu Cheese dressing is the only thing I will eat on a salad.... well, except a steak 😂

Also, I moved to Utah from Pennsylvania and he is NOT kidding. Fry sauce is EVERYWHERE here. It comes with your order without being asked if you want it 😂
