Shawshank Redemption Reaction (Full access reaction) OUT NOW! Enjoy!

I have to share what happened last night. I was watching this reaction and I had both videos (reaction/movie) playing on one monitor side by side. The scene in the movie arrives where Andy is first attacked by the rapists. I've seen the movie many times but this being an intense scene had my focus entirely on that side of my monitor. I would glance at James and Millie during the scene but I was primarily locked in on the right side of the screen. As the scene progressed and got continually darker in tone...it occurs to me that James has been grinning throughout this scene. It was unnerving. Andy is being raped on screen and James is just happily observing this unfold. "This man is unhinged." I told myself. A moment or two later I realized that the left half video on my monitor had somehow become paused. James had been grinning about how they smuggled the goods into the prison. NOT the graphic rape. My apologies James. You are not a psycho.

Great reaction to one of my favorite films, guys. I'm not an expert on prisons, but I'm fairly sure that when the guys were in the yard, and then later when they were watching the movie, those were not indications of any particular relaxed atmosphere on the part of the prison staff, but rather standard things in most prisons. If I remember from what I've seen in specials I've watched, most US prisons allow inmates one hour a day to spend in the yard. That's what you saw at the start, the prisoners spending their hour out there. Most will also play a movie one night a week that the prisoners can watch, assuming they haven't done anything to warrant revoking the privilege. They also don't just allow prisoners to roam freely. When Andy left the theatre, he was presumably returning to his cell. He said he'd already seen the movie three times, so he didn't want to see it again. When the library was built, prisoners were probably allowed to spend the hour allotted to the yard in the library instead if they choose. Captain Hadley wouldn't have gotten in trouble for killing "Fat Ass" (he's never given a name). One, Hadley, as we later see, is corrupt, and so is the warden, who would be the one to take action against him. Two, back then, people didn't really care how prisoners were treated. The system often allowed stuff like that to happen even though it was against the law. Again, really great reaction. Looking forward to whatever you've got coming next.

Finally watched this. Awesome.

Yes just been slow editing but going to speed up:D

Are the edited version of these going to be the regular YouTube channel? It is great you are doing full length, but personally I don't have the time for the full length versions. Thanks!

Wonderful movie! Also the Breakfast Club was one of my favorites... Anything with the brat pack from the 80's was great or anything by director John Hughes...

Monty

Yeah Frank wrote the screenplay for both of those movies I'm almost 100% positive about.

Monty

Hi James and Millie. Hope you are well. Please react to "The Pursuit of Happyness" (2006).

Ronald Luk

Stephen King wrote the novella it's based on. Frank Darabont wrote and directed the film, without Stephen King's involvement. Same with The Green Mile.

Jordan Malloy

Just an FYI, Shawshank is considered by many, one of the best movies ever. It was written by Steven King and directed by Frank Darabont. They teamed up on another EXCELLENT called The Green Mile which I recommend.

Marci Flint

Loved it! Thanks for another movie night, guys
