There was always so much to do and see and the minority of it revolved around our beautiful beaches, islands, and tropical environment. One place on earth that I feel every person should experience is the beautiful and wild Florida Keys. The Florida Keys are a string of tropical islands stretching about 120 miles off the southern tip of the U.S. state of Florida, between the Atlantic Ocean and Gulf of Mexico. They’re known as a destination for fishing, boating, snorkeling, partying, eating, and scuba diving. The southernmost city of Key West is famous for Duval Street’s many bars, Mallory Square’s nightly Sunset Celebration and the Ernest Hemingway Home and Museum. This video will give you a brief overview of the Keys but also show you what went into building the Overseas Highway. The Overseas Highway is a 113-mile highway carrying U.S. Route 1 through the Florida Keys to Key West. Large parts of it were built on the former right-of-way of the Overseas Railroad, the Key West Extension of the Florida East Coast Railway. I don’t think that you make these videos for money or praise but hey you provide entertainment to those of us that need something different. I’ll go ahead and tell you a bit about me that’s kind of personal but I bet many of your viewers share my story. So I’m a disabled Veteran who suffers from mental and physical injuries from the military. Because of that I don’t go out much. In a wired way it brings me joy to watch someone experiencing something for the first time. It gives me something to do when I’m down. But not only when I’m down. The days I’m feeling ok and I get a new notification I have to decide whether to watch it then or save it for a bad day. What’s funny is I never save it instead I jump on it. Now take the Veteran part out of it and I’d bet a lot of your subscribers may just suffer with something similar and your reactions help to get us through. Hey sounds like I’m getting deep so I’ll digress but every other reactor I watch seems to just throw it out there in the beginning of their videos. Saying something like follow me on Twitter, Insta, and oh I have a Patreon for those of you who are interested. You can even be just you and say something like I’m not asking for your hard earned dollar just letting you know my Patreon helps me better my channel. Or don’t say anything at all and I your “fan boy” will just continue to throw it out there in the comments subtly. Beez you seem like a pretty happy dude and that rubs off on some of us who struggle trying to find it. I think you are doing great and thanks for being you. Now get to my damn requests! This is a really interesting 3 part series on the Cuban Missile Crisis. The Cuban Missile Crisis of October 1962 was a direct and dangerous confrontation between the United States and the Soviet Union during the Cold War and was the moment when the two superpowers came closest to nuclear conflict. This escalation had lasting consequences especially for people like me who grew up in Miami, only 330 miles from Cuba. Citizens in Miami would regularly hear the sirens for missile warning tests and I have to be honest it scared the shit out of me. My mother would tell me about missile drills they had in school where they would have to get under their desks and wait. Not sure that hiding under a desk would protect you from nuclear bombs but hey. Anyway each video is about 10 minutes long and may just be something you and your subscribers just don’t know about and maybe should. I’d love to see you react and I will continue to Like and Comment and though I know you are not the kinda guy who will push your Patreon I think you deserve the support and I will continue to drop hints in my comments about it.
