Easily Optimize Windows Operating System For Games

START OF WINDOWS OPTIMIZATION GUIDE

Everyone, listen. Your CPU and GPU are always doing something in windows for the most part. Today, I am going to show you everything I personally change and/or disable while gaming. Do not use any extra programs, Re-shade, Razer Cortex, game boosters, etc

Step 1 - Stopping "News and Interests" from using your CPU (up to 17% for me)

- Right click on your task bar and hover over "news and interestes"

- Turn off news and interests

Step 2 - Disabling programs on startup & giving CPU power to your game

- Right click your taskbar and open "Task Manager" OR go to System and open "Task Manager" and go to your startup tab.

- Disable literally almost everything in this tab unless you think it is very important!

- When Assetto Corsa is running, hit the "Details" tab

- Right click "ACS.EXE" or "ASSETTOCORSA.EXE"

- "Set Priority" to high

- "Set Affinity" to all CPU cores

Step 3 - Disabling any background services/applications you are not using

- Again, open the task bar then task manager

- Go to "Users" and you will see your user with a number in brackets. For me it is Users Mikey (73), showing me I have 73 services running!

- Go down the list, and right click, then "End" anything you don't see mandatory to run while you play games!

- I went from 73 to 55 and I just started my PC and barely ran anything sometimes you will see this go to 100-120+

Step 4 - Disabling Windows Notifications (Sounds, icons, pop-ups)

- Click on Windows Search and type "notifications"

- Open Notifications & Actions

- Get Notifications From Apps And Other Senders should be turned off

- Turn off literally everything for notifications, every notification will use some of your CPU and GPU especially if they have nice notifying windows!

Step 5 - Disabling REAL-TIME-ANTIVIRUS-SCANNING AT YOUR OWN RISK to improve your performance in-game

- Click the Windows Search and type in Antivirus

- Clcick on Virus & Thread Protections

- Manage Settings

- Turn off Real-Tme Scanning Protection at your own risk to save CPU/RAM resources from scans taking place while gaming
