With a picture of a crocodile I sent to a client so he could pick the style he wanted. He ended up going with something completely different from these guys.
I have a whole slew of Prompts to catch up on today, as well as character designs for a children's book I'm working on. I've decided what my next coloring book is going to be and I've started to gather materials for that. MY plan is to get that finished in about 6 months or so and see if I can get two books out by the end of the year.
My website Panel2Panel.com is undergoing a huge re-programming over hall. To get into the nitty gritty of the programming, I'm hosted on a friend's server. There is a main website. Years ago I gave up trying to maintain the code for my site myself. HTML, XHTML, CSS, PHP, Javascript, etc. etc. ALL of it started getting to be a second job on top of the making of the art. I switched over to a Wordpress site a long time ago. Frumph.net is an amazing programmer who made a plugin called Comic Easel (he was also part of the Comicpress crew and worked on Keenspot's pearl-scripting as well as Modern Tales for some cleanup from Joey Manley's code, so he's had a lot of history managing different comic archiving systems). And it works GREAT with Wordpress...
Except Wordpress just unrolled a huge update of their systems. Sites are put together in totally different ways now. They were smart enough to incorporate legacy code, so my site "looks," fine on the front end (thank the heavens), but the back end is a scary new landscape for me and I'm frightened, cold and lonely there.
My buddy and I are slowly going through the code trying to figure out the new system, update old sites to the new system, etc. And make sure that Comic Easel's archiving ability is not impeded by the new system. If you visit the website, and something looks off, that's probably why.
Speaking of websites, I have a permanent link for my book on my main page. That's working! I checked.
I know I'm only writing to three of you guys, but I really appreciate the belief in me and the support. It's encouraging me to make art and keep up with my promises I've made to myself and others regarding it. You'll all be getting Hi-Rez images for the past 3 months soon. I'm picking them out.
You should have also received your first sticker. Expect 3 more throughout the year.
I'll be setting up a streaming schedule soon as well as starting Philo once I get one more follower on my twitch channel. Philo will be fun!
