Weekend Rewards & More Stuff
Added 2025-06-30 06:34:47 +0000 UTCLatest Mission Gamma chapter (man this one is long) and Autumn Snow!
I aimed high this month with my plans and didn't reach it, though it's mostly because I underestimated where Alien was going to take me. Doing "Perfect Organism" wasn't the plan, it was that what I had was so big, that even paired down, it was going to be almost as long as the film itself. The final part is in the process of being edited. When these things come along, though, I feel like I should seize upon them since very often what interests me interests most of you too.
I've additionally made headway on some of these others. Prometheus' review is actually 25% written, and while not on the list, Village of the Damned is almost half written. So there's going to be some movies coming besides an updated version of Alien.
Since I'm behind, though, I thought I'd toss in two of the planned rewards for the next rewards page right now. One is related to the EU Citizens' Initiative that amused me, the other is me indicating how old and stupid I am.
I've got some new DS9 and Lower Decks coming soon, an anime miniseries that I'll probably just tackle in one video, that way I only have to sigh once when the Japanese studio tells Youtube to take it down, and Officers and up already know that I've started tackling the classic Harlan Ellison Game: I Have No Mouth And I Must Scream. I'm planning to get that up next month as well.
I'm hoping to make this a great summer! Thanks for your interest and support!

Thank you, but I'm afraid the issue isn't bots, it's humans coming in later and flagging it. Those tricks won't work on a person. The bigger problem is that Japan seems far less reasonable. Thundarr got flagged later, and despite an appeal it stayed that way, though up. Same thing happened with Madoka, same responses, and it ended with the channel getting a strike. We'll see, I'll keep patching it. :-)

2025-06-30 16:55:40 +0000 UTCI watch a lot of anime react channels, and there are a few tricks they often use to avoid getting takedowns: Reverse the video left-to-right Have the video be semitransparent against some sort of patterned background Have the video not take up the whole screen, but only be part of it, surrounded by something else (ideally, something that is gently moving). You can see a good example of this at https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KB-qLiqZ-lY ; all the movie clips are surrounded by gently-moving cobweb graphics.

2025-06-30 07:57:39 +0000 UTCDo you still have the long version of the Alien video? Because I for one would like to see it, if as a patreon exclusive
