Honeymoon Painting complete

Hello my lovely patrons!

I'm very happy to inform you all that I've finally finished painting Honeymoon's Prototype.

I had planned to finish this by the time the pre-orders open but I got down with another cold not 3 weeks after the last one right as I was in the middle of doing everything, so that was fun 🫤

I worked on them sporadically in the short bursts of time I had energy but I'm glad they're done.

This is printed resin and you know how horrible it is to work with, while printed model connected perfectly in the dry stage, once putty and pinning were done, some parts had trouble aligning, this always happens when I work with these models but please rest assured, normal resin won't have this issues, especially because if you need to align some parts, you will able to heat bend it to shape again, I can't do that much with printed resin because when I tried doing one time, the layers separated (yeepee) so I couldn't do that much here.

Still, the base does need finishing up, it will take me a couple of hrs to do because it's the actual piece that will be sent to the factory for production, I honestly don't want to print another base and go over the prep again, it was so complicated to glue, align, putty and sand everything so all the connections will be invisible, to say a dozen hrs went into just working the base would be an understatement so yeah, it needs to be as perfect as possible for the workshop to make a mold of it as a master.

Here are some sneak peaks. The official pictures will go up on Saturday morning to my website fully uncensored for everyone to appreciate, especially those that are waiting for the painted prototype to decide on their pre-order purchase.

We also upgraded Usagi's left leg with a garter belt, it would have been really hard to fuse and hide the connection with Mamoru's legs squeezing it in between, so to better assist the assembly, it was added to help hide that connection, ShadowCarftArts made it super cute too!
