As a group of New Yorkers (Michael Stahl-David, Mike Vogel, Odette Yustman) enjoy a going-away party, little do they know that they will soon face the most terrifying night of their lives. A creature the size of a skyscraper descends upon the city, leaving death and destruction in its wake. Using a handheld video camera, the friends record their struggle to survive as New York crumbles around them.

the other films in this series are not exactly sequels but they are "loosely" connected - highly recommend them, they're "10 Cloverfield Lane" and "The Cloverfield Paradox"

2023-03-17 19:17:17 +0000 UTCThis was a good movie n I β€οΈthe selfie type myself, didn't at first but I seen a few ... I suggest watching "Skyline" which was very much like this from 2010 I believe .. n if u like zombie/demon type I strongly suggest "Jeruzalem" it's π₯π₯πππππ... Epic

2023-03-14 14:04:11 +0000 UTCGreat movie, saw this in the cinema, didn't have a problem with the shaky cam as it was a 'found footage type doco approach and added realism to the whole thing. Being on a boat makes me way more sick than shaky cam. I like how they never explained what the creature was or where it came from.
