One thing I forgot to mention. This triggers my apprehension about a troubling trend I heard about. It's said that some Muslim-majority countries are thinking of mandating sex reassignment surgery for any same sex interested person.

I will however leave some info for Kemi if she sees this comment, as I have seen her mention asexuality before and I wanted to give any clarifications because she has shown a genuine desire to understand others which I think is beautiful. And, I give this information as someone on the asexual spectrum. Asexuals experience little to no sexual attraction and/or desire. Aromantics experience little to no romantic feelings and/or desire. Ace or Aro for short. Someone can be one of them or both. In my case I'm Ace-spectrum and Biromantic (most bi people are both bisexual and biromantic but not all). The Ace spectrum kinda works like this: At the top you have the stronger experiences of asexuality, such as being sex-repulsed, or indifferent. You can lack feeling sexuality attracted to others but possibly desire and act on the physical stimulation that erotic acts can give as well as the rush of chemicals to the brain. On the more mild experiences of being ace, you can simply rarely (but not never) feel sexual attraction or desire for erotic acts. You can prefer sex as a fantasy rather than something to do in real life. You can feel a disconnect between yourself and erotic acts, wanting to be the audience rather than a participant. Aromantic spectrum is the same but with romantic feelings & intimate non-sexual acts. For people whose romantic/sexual orientations don't line up, there are combination pride flags. Mine is the flag for the part of the ace spectrum I'm at, with a heart of the Bi colours in the middle <3
