Unlike You, and I'd even argue Killing Eve- what I appreciate about Dexter as a show-is they REALLY questioned the morality of it all. Like you said, that DOES make Dexter more scary. The amount of PEOPLE he slaughtered. I remember being shocked at that, too. But like, at least they didn't brush it under the rug like SO many other shows DO.(That is another reason why Breaking Bad is also a favorite, is that they touched on that-too)

Doakes was on Dexter like a hawk and as for Paul I wasn't expecting him to go out so soon. Although I didn't like him I felt he didn't deserve to die. But the biggest part for me was the scene with all the bags of bodies underwater. Can't wait for next episode!

But shes in such denial cuz its harder to admit shes fallen for another bad guy. Its interesting that Paul is in a way an innocent indirect victim of dexter too, breaking the code, sort of.
