This was my first time watching… and WOW. my jaw DROPPED when i saw the twist. when you mentioned dental records I started to get scared that you may be right, but when the reveal came it still sent chills down my spine!! Such a good reaction

Literally many jaw-dropping moments for you in this film! 😁 Thank you for pointing out the acting of Isabelle Fuhrman, who played Esther. Fuhrman was born on February 25, 1997, so she was only 11 years old when filming "Orphan," and 12 years old when the movie was released in 2009. I thought she was outstanding in the role, along with everyone else, as you mentioned. I do think the film tried to address Kate's concerns in the beginning as to whether or not she was ready to adopt a child so soon after losing her baby. However, ultimately, you are correct that the family needed to put all of their demons to rest before they could move forward and not "invite the devil into their home." Your insights and instincts are always spot-on, Kemi! There is a sequel called "Orphan: First Kill" which I have not yet seen. Perhaps that's a movie we can watch together at some point next year. 😊
