Familiar with this brilliant, updated retelling of "Madama Butterfly", I had not seen this production before. I'm truly blown away! And that goes for Kemi's deep and thoughtful remarks, as well.

2024-09-24 07:47:24 +0000 UTCLea Salonga, who played Eponine in the concert version of Les Miserables you saw, originated the role of Miss Saigon on Broadway in 1991 and that's probably why Kim reminds you of her. Miss Saigon was written by the same team who wrote Les Miserables.

The engineer def steals the show. One of my favorite musical theater characters. Just so complex. You hate him but love him at the same time.
