Later in the book when they get their new home:
“Do you know how this happened?”
She could have told him. She could have said she’d struck a deal with the King’s mother, that she’d betrayed her own Queen. She could have told him that it was her intelligence, and her cunning, but when she looked at his face, so awestruck, so delighted at finally having been granted the dignity and respect he’d been so long denied, she decided it wasn’t worth it. He deserved this moment.
Agatha smiled and touched his hand. “I have no idea.”

You are SO insightful and compassionate. You really take everyone's feelings into consideration, even the characters we're not meant to like, like Lord Danbury. I just started reading the book adaptation of Queen Charlotte (the book was written after the show, unlike the rest of the Bridgerton books, which came before the show) and this passage reminded me exactly of what you said about Lord Danbury's struggles and how Agatha sees him:
"Agatha didn’t like her husband. She really didn’t. But she felt for him. For all the indignities that pecked away at his heart. Sometimes she wondered if he might have become a different man had he been allowed to rise to his true potential. If he had not been stepped on or pushed away every time he approached his goals. If society had viewed him as the man he truly was, maybe he could have seen her as the woman she truly was."
