It’s so true. • I always thought of Rapunzel’s neuroses to be a symptom of PTSD, but I had never considered postpartum depression or psychosis. You are absolutely correct. • Stephen Sondheim (composer/lyricist) has said Jack’s Mother is a reflection of his own mother, who he knew regretted having children. • Hopefully you now understand why I was so excited for you to see the full stage version. It is so rich and complex. It has been a pleasure watching you enjoy it!
